Day 23: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

Boat Ride: Take a scenic boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, stopping at various islands along the way. The lake is dotted with 29 islands, each with its own unique features and attractions. Visit the island of Akampene, also known as Punishment Island, which has a dark history but is now a peaceful spot with beautiful views of the lake. You can also visit Bushara Island, known for its picturesque setting and eco-friendly accommodation.
Swimming: Lake Bunyonyi is safe for swimming, and its calm, clear waters are perfect for a refreshing dip. Spend some time swimming, snorkeling, or simply lounging by the lakeshore.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Lake Bunyonyi and embark on your journey to Mbarara City. The Town is an amazing place to spend the day as you will have an opportunity for a market tour before finally checking into your accommodation overnight.
Day 25: Cultural exploration at Igongo Cultural center
Today after your breakfast you’ll have the opportunity to go on a thrilling cultural excursion at Igongo Cultural center. A cultural heritage site Of Ankole Kingdom. The site has a lot of Culture and history that will be shared. You will also have an opportunity to Explore the Ankole museum stocked with traditional items that are still used today and imitations that one can take away as a souvenir. It also stocks literature about the history represented in the museum as well as titles from other genres.
You can also opt to explore Biharwe Eclipse Monument, located opposite the cultural center, with its imposing appearance like a piece of cultural gold. You can opt to drive up the Hill or dress up into your Hiking clothes to hike the up hill.
Up on completing this amazing cultural experinece we will have a short 1hr drive to Lake Mburo National park overnight.
26. Explore Lake Mburo National Park
After a satisfying breakfast, your Njia driver will lead you off to a Morning Game drive at Lake Mburo National Park, which is Uganda’s smallest park and conveniently close to the capital city, Kampala. Despite its small size, the park is rich in wildlife, making it a rewarding destination for nature lovers looking to see a lot of Zebras.
As we begin our Game Drive at Lake Mburo National Park, be prepared to encounter a variety of animals, including a large number of zebras, impalas, oribis, buffaloes, warthogs, and waterbucks. Additionally, the park is a haven for birdwatchers, as it boasts an impressive diversity of over 332 bird species.
