Uganda is a great destination to view wildlife in both forest and savannah. Not to be missed is gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable or Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks, while chimps can easily be spotted in Kibale National Park and several other locations. Day 1Arrive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park

Hopefully, your flight is scheduled for an early morning landing in Uganda/Kigali. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda is a large habitat for mountain gorillas, with over 300 of them, which is another reason why it should be your safari destination.

The road trip will take you southwest Uganda, across the Equator, to Mbarara for lunch, and then through Savannah grasslands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic drive through the Kigezi Highlands and banana plantations leads to the Bwindi National Park gorilla sanctuary.

You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and will do little more than check into your accommodation and relax before your Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day and Batwa Cultural talk.

Day 2Gorilla Tracking Batwa talks and relaxation on Lake Bunyonyi

Following an early breakfast and a briefing from a ranger guide, participants will proceed to the Gorilla briefing point for a thrilling and unique adventure. The rainforest boasts stunning scenery, with dramatic, steeply forested landscapes that are incredibly dense, yet crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that allow tourists access. The time and terrain taken to reach the gorillas vary with their movements. Once a group of gorillas is located, participants are allowed an hour in their presence, providing an awe-inspiring, exciting experience that will be long savored.

After the gorilla encounter, participants will return to their lodge for lunch before checking out and proceeding to the Batwa cultural experience.

From there, they will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, which is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach heights of 2,200-2,478m. However, it is the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make this destination truly magical, with visitors able to admire them for hours.
