Today’s the day! Your guide will already have booked you in so after a briefing from your ranger you head on foot to find your gorilla group. Your Gorilla trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes that can be slippers, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo vegetation before you reach the Gorilla family. The time taken can be as few as 30 minutes to as many as 7 hours but coming face to face with the Gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. Each group is allowed a maximum of 1 hour with the gentle giants observing and learning about their behaviors while taking best shots of photos

Please note:
If you are sick you will not be able to visit. Gorillas are so closely related to us that they can catch all of our diseases but may not be so well equipped in recovering from them. Their safety is paramount.
A reasonable level of fitness is required for this trek.
Good walking shoes, waterproof jacket and long trousers (all in non bright colours) are essential.
You are welcome to take photographs but you must use a camera where you can turn off the flash. Flash photography can freak out gorillas and you don’t want to be on foot near a freaked out 400lb gorilla.
After your trek you will transfer down the mountain to the Ishasha plains and your lodge for the night.
After breakfast there will be time for a game drive in search of hyena, lion, leopard, topi, elephant among others before lunch back at your lodge. In the afternoon we’ll head through the conservation area to the main Queen Elizabeth NP and your lodge with its views over the Kazinga channel.
Accommodation: Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge
Meals: B, L & D
After an early breakfast you’ll depart for the Kasenyi Savannah, Queen Elizabeth National Park, for an early morning game drive. The savannah offers a great safari experience, with the opportunity to see lions, Uganda kob, hyena, elephant, warthog, waterbuck and possibly even the elusive leopard all with the stunning Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop. You will take your packed lunch on the crater explosion drive and then you will head out onto the Kazinga Channel on your boat trip. This area is rich in game and you will find hippos and crocodiles in the water and a variety of wildlife on the banks, including buffalo, elephant and various antelope.
